I replaced the battery on my daughters 2007 328i. Everything worked fine but now the tach, speedo, fuel gauge, etc doesn't work. Any ideas of the problem?

It's called battery registration and should be done to insure proper charging, but it sounds like the OP has other problems as well.

+1 - non-working instruments would not likely be related to the battery registration.

Check fuses and the connection at the battery.

Fuses are known to blow if you use a battery backup device when changing the
battery.

Be sure all the cables on top of the battery distribution block are plugged into the same
cable connectors as they were in the first place as some of the slots are empty's.
Also there are fuse ratings on those slots , they are fusible links essentially fuses.

There should be a fuse chart on the main fuse holder behind the glove compartment.
