7 brethren, Like a number of you, I'am experience oil burn and smoking after idle - likely due to faulty valve seals as I have had all the other seals replaced and still burning oil and smoking. I have found who I believe to be a trustworthy mechanic recommended from members of this site who specializes in this repair at a reasonable rate. Do any of you have an opinion about the type of replacement seals. For those in the know they range from nitrile to FKM/Viton to Silicon and I think even Teflon. Like many things with these cars, the right or wrong choices can be costly and affect performance. I would appreciate any thoughts. thanks.
