Would like to share my experience of installing a Speed limit info emulator (SLI)
I bought this out of eBay, it was on back order but got it in about 10 days and here is the link for it
The cost was about $76 shipping to my house
I used it on BMW F10 2011 with no SLI option and the coding I needed to do was as from their product link
Coding is required for Kombi and HU_NBT/HU_NBT2 for normal display after the product is installed Coding to be modified for KOMBI or DKMOBI ( F / G Series )( Ignore if not applicable )
I've been using it for about 1 month and I really like it, takes the data of your map and there is no lag or delay in showing the info right away after you turn to a street.
I found it out by a youtuber and I thought its really simple and does not require alot of work:

SPEED_LIMIT_ENABLE = sli. In our new SLI V4 version, you can change the specification pattern to be displayed by yourself, including red circles (ECE) and white squares (US). Constant display of current speed limit to ensure the speed limit has not exceeded and prevent speeding tickets.
