ron the below picture is one you supplied a gentlemen who added the "city lights" feature to his z3, im about to do this mod and had a question.
being that the headlamp housing has to be drilled at the plug to add the bulb what would you suggest the best(cleanest results)
would be to drill this hole and file the two dog legs out.
i understand that nothings is as good as having them cast from the get go but i'd like the hole to be as clean as possible looking (yes i attend meeting for anal mentality) either way i owe you and others dinner for all the help thanks.
if drilling it out with a standard drill is the best do you know the exact sive of the hole that is needed i dont like the hole to be to big:)
many thanks
max

I used a razor knife. You don't want the fine stuff falling inside the headlight assembly.
Why do you want to do this?
This mod isn't worth doing in my opinion based on it using 5 watt lamps. If you want to do this in place of DRL's they do not show up that well in the daytime. Much easier to install the DRL module.

Hey Ron,
HC03 may only cost you the initial registration fee;)
I'm sure in the next eleven months you'll some beers from me too!

Max,
You ought to just try out his Daytime Running Light module for starters. It just plugs right in.

Sounds like you have the itinerary all worked out.
Good choices.
We'll see what Dwayne has in store for us next year too.

If you get tired of working for beer, we can switch to ice cream (Sue's idea!).
