Okay, whats "Tramlining"..2nd time I've heard this on the BBS...:dunno:
Larger diameter wheels (17, 18, 19s) aggrevate this problem. Tramlining is a side effect of the larger contact patch that comes with wider tires or lower profile tires. Basically the larger your contact patch the more pronounced the tramlining effects are.ism409 said:My conti-sports seem to have a lot of "tramlining"
I noticed this as soon as I took off my winter tires.
they had a lot less "tramlining" ..
What actually causes this phenomemon:dunno:
Yeah, the shop I went to has some serious equipment, and they said it took both of them (two guys own and run the shop) to get my Michelin Pilots on the rims. One said "A real tight fit".blackdawg said:'haus:
were you running conti touring before or contisports or something?
am guessing the stiffer sidewalls of hte s03s make quite the difference, huh? plus they're that much more difficult to install.
