I brought my car up to Garlyn Shelton for service this morning, they just unloaded 2 brand new 2003 SL500's, at close to $100k each, they looked DAMN NICE! but of course they only come with a touch-shift. I'd personally pick a Porshe over those, but I can see why people would really like them. They've got 14 people on the list for the new SL500. I didn't have my camera with me so no pics, sorry.

at their BMW showroom, they had a CB M3c, and a CB M5, but they're nothing comparing to the SL500 as that was the very first time I see one of those in person. Looks like it's pretty easy to get an ///M at MSRP now... cool...

oh Eugene, saw your car, looking good with those front clears... ;) go check out the SL's when you pick up your car. oh and they have 2 M5's, and I don't think they would let us drive them, but I didn't ask.

oh btw, they have 2 E65's as well, but they're not that amusing... all the people i talked to said they handle real well, they went down to Florida and drove them around cones and on the highways and all were very impressed.

do any of you Austin people use John Roberts any more?
i gave up on JR after getting my car in there TWICE for the weather strips and doors still didn't close without slamming. also took weeks for an appointment (even if you dont need a loaner). they also got my interior all dirty and i spent half an hour cleaning it. this was when they were at their old location. i might give the new one a try, well, maybe not. Garlyn Shelton has been very good, quick and very professional.
