I sort of like it. I think it could be improved with matching-color leather and a sleeker profile: maybe a straight piece of leather with two plastic stand-offs. But I love the creativity and problem-solving idea.
I'm a little concerned with the idea of fixing a seat belt with Velcro, though. That would compromise safety.
If anyone with broken plastic guides is interested in the parts for this installation, let me know. As long as the original broken-off hollow plastic posts haven't pulled out of your seat back, it's an easy job.
