She's on the water!!!

At last, I found out that my car is on Rigoletto, expected to arrive in NY on 04/11 (damn, this ship is fast, it’s taking just 8 days from Bremenhaven to NY). After all, it looks that I’ll be able to pick it up on 04/16 as, amazingly, my dealer predicted more than 2 months ago!

Congrats! (Is that clock moving slower? Tick..tock..tick..tock..) :D
Dude that *is* amazing, never have I heard of an accurate timeline for car delivery from a dealer! Congrats!
Ripsnort, you're absolutely right, the clock is really moving lower than ever now. I cannot focus on anything, at work or elsewhere.
Webguy330i, it’s freaking amazing. I was initially scheduled for week11 but the sales guy was so confident that it would make it for 04/16 (when my current car’s lease ends) that he pushed my car for week 12.

I have everything arranged; the certified check for the down payment, the loan is approved (the dealer got me 5.5/60mo; I had my own 5.9/60mo but they beat it), I spoke with the insurance company, I’ll be ordering V1 this weekend…
Hey Dan, I went to High School for 2 years in Green Brook, about 10 miles from ya(I think its about 10 miles)...1972-1974. Hows the Garden state these days? I loved skiing in the winters at Great Gorge...
Pentagon Federal Credit Union has a 4.9% apr, that's what I used to finance mine last friday (60 months also).

I'm in California, I don't work for them, they are just a Credit Union, I am not sure what their requiremnts are to join, since my wife was a member before I met her...
unleashHell, I guess working for the Pentagon has it perks...:thumb:
Ripsnort, glad to hear you have ties to NJ. Speaking of GS, it's too crowded, damn it!
On Rigoletto

Ordered my 330Ci Tpz Blue, PP, SP, CWP, Xenons, Step on 2/23/02 and it's also on the Rigoletto. I'll have it a month ahead of the dealer guaranteed delivery date of May 15.:thumb:
carwatch, your car must've been built when you ordered your car. Perhaps a week 12 as mine?
I was just able to get an allocation from my dealer and the luck to time it perfectly for production.

I ordered my car on the exact same day, 2/23/02. But getting my car... most likely around mid-may....

:p  :p
i remember when i first got notice my car was on the water...didnt know whether to be happy:D or cry:cry:

happy because i was about to get my bimmer and cry because i knew it grew closer to sign my life, errr, i mean the check for the down payment!!:bawling:
Hi Low, I couldn't have said it better!:thumb:
Bimmee, why mid May? In the other thread you said the your car is awaiting transport so it's roughly about a week behind mine. IMO, you should get your car sometime between 20-30 April.

My car actually got in a little few days earlier than my dealer predicted. He initially thought 3/11, but I got it 3/7. It was definitely a nice surprise :thumb:

Its awaiting transport so I assume its not even at the port yet. And from reading other threads, a car can be stucked at the port as long as 2 weeks before it actually gets on a ship. And it takes about 2 weeks from Munich to NJ. Another week from NJ to Hawaii...... :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

My salesman actually told me delivery should be in early/mid June. Oh well, hes a different animal, so I decided not to listen to anything out of his mouth....

Well your car goes to Port Hueneme south of LA and then to Long Beach to get on a Matson ship here. Is it on a boat now? My car took over 10 days from Port Hueneme to get out of VPC and then on a Matson ship, and then another 5 days to get here.

What did you order, who was your salesperson?
Ahhhhh....

Didnt notice your location.....

OMG, that pic looks very similar to what I see out the window.... hehehe..

I dont think its on the boat yet, I called BMWNA and they said its still status 155, but the site says Awaiting Transport. :dunno:
So how long from Munich to Port Hueneme?

I ordered a 325CI on 2/23, his name is giancalo.

If you work downtown you probably recognize it.

I had the schedule memorized, 28 days from Bremmerhaven (the port) to Port Hueneme. 1 or 2 days to get to VPC. My car was at the VPC for a week, don't know why as there was no damage. Then it is trucked to Long Beach, you can go to the Matson website but I believe there are only 3 sailings a week from Long Beach to here. My car sat at Long Beach for 5 days, BMW does not reserve spots ahead of time. Total time for me from Bremmerhaven to getting the keys was about 6 weeks. Have patience.
