Recently purchased a 99 2.8 Coupe (CPO'd ..sort of) and found the LH front shock strut leaking oil.
(Small puddle of brown ~10W oil on floor and sides of strut. No visible leaks around brake caliper or lines)
I'm out of my 3 year Full Maintenance but still covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty until 02/2003.
From what I can read in the warranty book and some posts, a leaking shock absorber is covered under warranty.

So I'll answer my own question..

Leaking struts are covered under the New Vehicle Warranty but NOT under CPO.

Yes, the original New Vehicle Warranty is in effect until 02/03.
Since the car had over 30K miles (30,400) they replaced both front struts.
Front is much better, now I'm tempted to replace the rears (with stock shocks and mount plates) just to balance out the ride.
