Off road capability is not something I expect from any BMW SAV. But that's OK. As long as it LOOKS like a rugged vehicle, then I'm good.

I think you might be surprised at how capable the X5 can be off road. I've driven it on the off road demo course at the Performance Center in South Carolina. It's impressive. Google for some videos.
