Living in sunny Arizon makes Tint de rigueur. However, the questions are too many:

1: Should I get the same tint all around, or lighter front two windows, darker rear 3.

2: The Specialists quoted $ 350 for Formula One. Does anyone know if a) it is a good deal, and b) it is a good quality film?

3: Are there any good installers in Tucson AZ? Any experience with the Specialists near Auto Mall Drive?

Many thanks,

I was going to do the 3 back and front 2 combo, but luckily the shop was out of the tint I wanted in the front so I ended up getting 20% all around and don't regret it one bit. I have a few friends who did the combo and it looks akward. One retinted the front to match and the other regrets not doing the same all around. I would recomend going with the same one all around instead of the como. On quality I'm not sure. I used 3M and it is great. Great quality tint with no fading over time. Others say no fading but still fade. I would use 3M just because I know it works well. I paid $230 on mine. $350 seems a bit high but it might be location or the film you are using.

Depends on your state laws I suppose. I know AZ cops can hassle you about tint. I was towing a Uhaul cross-country with a Pathfinder with FL plates and dark tint. Maybe it looked like I was hauling illegals, I dunno, but I was pulled over for tint too dark. Around Tucson if I recall correctly, or the Phoneix "bypass". Anyway, after consenting to allow him to search the rear (had nothing to hide), cop said his tint gun conveniently was broken and I could go on my way. I asked him (the smartass in me couldn't resist) what should I have done, scraped the tint off upon entering Arizona? "Have a good day" was the response.

I have Huper Optik all around, 20% I believe. The dealer where I had it installed had both F1 as well and I came in biased towards HO, so he never had a chance. I know HO is tougher to work with as it's thicker but otherwise, I seem to recall my search showed they're pretty comparable. Make sure it's not metallic but is ceramic.

I'll try to get pics of 20% all around posted so you can see what it comes out looking like. I'll also try to get pics of my friends car which has the combo.
