Sigh. 330Ci got hit today. Front bumper question...

Sigh. Pulling out of my driveway today I got nipped in the front corner by someone coming down the street. 330Ci, TiSilver.

Damage is contained almost entirely to the front bumper. My front left corner clear light is cracked, too, and I have a slight scratchy-poo on the body. Oh, well. Could have been worse had I pulled out a 1/2 second earlier.

Luckily, despite all this, my car still outshines Ripsnort's ugly-ass black 330Ci.

Anyway, anyone know the approx. price for a new front bumper? Also, any body shop suggestions around San Jose, CA?

Well, a new bumper is about $300 retail. You can probably find a nice used one, except it won't be in your color. I have my Topaz Blue Ci's front bumper sitting in storage if you're interested, it's in good condition except for a rather large curb rash...Since you'll need to paint it anyway, hardly doubt you'll mind. Will fit like a glove.

My rule of thumb is 2K per complete body panel replacement (front, rear, or side) with paint. Got rear ended in my Honda a couple of years ago. Just had to replace the bumper cover and a few brackets. Cost almost 1K. I think my rule still stands.
