hey every one went to get my new wheels today and the bimmer ran fine all morning.

but after fitting the wheels and relizing they looked crap changed them back went to start it up again, but it would start then just drop rpm and die?

after manually pressing the throttle with my hand keeping the revs up it run fine?

any ideas of the reason why it would do this?

Did you spray the car with a hose or anything? Did it rain really hard? Maybe the computer is wet (happened to me this week). Or did you do any other work on the car while changing the wheels?

i gave it a wash but it ran fine for liek 2 -3 hours then after that it screwed up seems to be ok so its possiable

any way of stopping it? rubber seal or something?

Search this forum for "wet DME". Hundreds of posts about it. This may be your problem.

It could possibly be your intake bellow. I had that same problem with my '94 318i, got a new one and it runs perfect now
