I have seen multiple posts regarding steering angle sensor failure in the 650i. My Jan. 06 build had this failure earlier this week after only 2000 miles. The dealer had the part(which is apparently behind the steering wheel) in stock and did the repair within twentyfour hours. I was told that the software is updated at the same time the repair is done.
It seems that after the repair that my "active steering" is not as sensitive as it was before the failure, mostly noticable at low speeds such as when pulling into a parking space. Has anyone else had a similar experience after this repair. Is the sensitivity adjustable? I am beginning to wonder if there is really a change in the "Active Steering" or if this my "Active Imagination".
