Steering wheel melted
Hello all. I'm a first time poster here. I have a face lifted e65 that I've owned for several years.
I started to notice that the heated steering wheel was always on. I was out of warranty so I assumed it was a switch issue that I would take care of.
It ended up burning the wheel. I took it to BMW and they told me that they have been seeing this issue starting to pop up.
To make a long story short I got a new switch and wheel for free which is great Bevause mine started to wear so that's the silver lining to my story.
Figured I'd share.

That's a slick deal, what dealership did this for you.
Dch BMW of Greenwich serviced it for me. I'm absolutely stoked to have a new wheel.
Also had an oppurtunity to drive the 4 door 6. I'm writing up a review for that car for the 6 series forum for whomever is interested. Lots of great things to say if you can justify the price tag.
