Well your ski pass can be made. There is a plate there that you can knock out pretty easily.

This is the best way to get sub into the cabin, through the ski pass. If you want to keep space in the trunk do a IB setup with an Image Dynamics sub with a Zapco amp.

An IB setup is an infinite baffle. What that means is you don't need a box. They make special subs that do IB. What happens is you have to seal off your trunk from the cabin then the sub normally mounts in the ski pass. It will basically use your trunk as a box.

Like so

I'm running an Infinity Basslink in the trunk of my 325i E36 with the rest of the speakers stock and it sounds awesome. It takes a little bit of tweaking on your HU to take some of the bass out of the rest of the speakers. I get some awesome bass out of that little box. If you don't want to entertain the whole neighborhood it's definitely worth checking out. It's not loud enough to feel outside of the car, but that's just me.
