My sunroof no longer closes on its own. The little plastic bug deflector that goes up does not fully come down for some reason and I got to pull it down as I’m closing the sunroof in order for the roof to close. I checked the deflector and it seems fine as well as both the little arms that pull it down as the weight of the sunroof goes on them. Any quick fix solutions to this? I searched eBay and can’t find a new bug deflector thingy anywhere.

Thanks.

theres a spring on it. that pulls it down. Find a local junkyard and snag one. Or look in the or near the sunroof drains. You might find it.

I don***8217;t understand how a missing spring would have an effect on the roof closing... when the sunroof slides over the metal bars they drag the bug deflector down...

i had the same problem, all i did was spray the system down with WD40 and it sorted everything out, no problems since and that was about 2 months ago!

i wd40'd the tracks the sunroof runs on and the joints (wrong word but you know what i mean) on the left and right of the bug deflector then opened and closed the sun roof a few times and it works great
