I got this car not so long ago and noticed that while driving on the freeway it doesn't feel very stable. Just simple flaws on the road I can feel the car swerve a little. It almost feels like it's going to lose control but thankfully it doesn't. When I accelerate hard on wet road I can feel the tires lose traction, but the ASC light doesn't flash or anything. I don't even know if it's working or not. Can this be my problem as to why it feels so unstable while driving on the freeway? I would assume that the ASC light should stay on if the unit was faulty, but there's no indication whatsoever. However, when I push down on the ASC light the orange light does stay on. Any clues?

Your freeway issue sounds like worn steering components. They're fairly cheap, I think I paid around $250 for 2 tie rod assy, center/drag link, and idler arm. Get the Lemfoerder parts, the cheapo's aren't worth it.
Could also be thrust arms, ball joints, etc. Lots of components can make them unstable. Might be worth a few bucks to have it checked out, then at least you'll know what has to be replaced, and whether or not you can do it yourself.
ASC would not be related to this.

After replacing the parts get a GOOD 4 wheel alignment. Don't use any one who is not floating front and rear at the same time to release stress on all the bushes. ASC light will stay on if button is pushed to remind you ASC is disabled - see hand book.
