I don't see how the front control arms care about suspension height. They just move with suspension travel.

He did say Control arms are front and trailing arms are rear.
Specifically yes those are the names, But generically trailing arms are control arms. The op has only 6 posts and may not be aware of the distinction.I would hate to see him go ahead without understanding the implications of lowering the car. If he truly meant "control arms" and not trailing arms then I don't see how my answer would have caused harm. On the other hand if he was asking generically about control arms he may mistakenly think there would be no problem with lowering.

I was confused by which arms the OP was referring to. If he was to order bushings for any reason, he might have gotten the wrong end of the car. I do feel we need to use a common terminology. The confusion over the rear subframe is bad enough.
