I've got a 2002 E39 530i and am trying to troubleshoot DSC (only) light. I've ordered a K+DCOM cable and need some guidance on which software to use with the cable (arrives tomorrow).

INPA or ISTA+? Sounds like INPA is older, but ISTA+ has limited ability for E39 beyond reading codes. My laptop is Win10 with an older celeron processor. With either ISTA+ or INPA work on this laptop? Is one clearly better than the other for my needs?

Aside from reading codes, maybe I need to calibrate a sensor (SAS) or... I'm not even sure what the possibilities are. Can I program keys? What if I need to replace the ABS module altogether. Can I program that to my car with these tools?
