A gold symbol that looks like a ringing alarm clock is showing up on my dashboard and I don't know what it means -- its a 2008 328xi sedan -- any idea?

With the small lever on the turn signal stalk, scroll until the symbol comes up on the dash computer with the word "Check". Then press the stalk's end button. An explanatory Check Control message should then be displayed.

Thanks so much Tom -- I did what you said however it didn't tell me what the meant but it did indicate that it was behind the car. My boss called her husband and he said it is probably a tail light out
