I have replaced the temp sensor 52 1 741 900 in the control box and the temp sensor
13 62 1 433 076 at the rear of the cylinder head under intake manifold.
However, I still keep getting a Peake code of OA Engine coolant temperature. I took 2001 330xi into local garage. All he could pull with his reader was 148 Can: Engine Temperature. Tech suggested the temp problem was in the transmission. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I'm stumped. thanks

148 isn't an OBD code. Sounds like your thermostat is bad. Very common.
