Thanks Gary for all your help with my new "winter" set-up

Well, it is that time of year again... :(

Since my 17" winter set-up from my 2009 E89 would not fit my "is," I replaced them with the 18" Sport Edition KM-11s (ET32) and I'm pleased with the look. Rubber is Conti DWS (225/40)--yes I know, not a dedicated winter tire, but for my needs I just don't require a winter compound (my previous 17" were Dunlop WinterSport). I have my wife's X5d for those days--which I also had to change from my 214 20s" to 18s" :(

I'm OCD, so every year after I swap out the wheels, I clean them good and inspect everything. Unfortunately, both my right front and rear tires on the inner side were "slashed" by something and both my 326M rims have large nics on the inside. I believe this may have occurred when the car had been on the lot for months, since I would recall running over something  I check my pressures every week and never noticed any problems. Now I need to decide if I should just replace the 2 RFT tires or for the price of 2 Potenzas, buy 4 non-RFT and hope I can remount these suspect tires before turn-in. Or, keep my fingers crossed and hope the tires never fail when I tend to drive "aggressively"--but better safe than sorry... I'll post pics of the tires later.
