The more impressed I am.

BMW has managed to build a bigger, roomier roadster AND slashed 0-60 time (if 0-62 is a posted 5.9s, we can prolly expect 0-60 to be ~5.7-5.8), incorporate new production and chasis YET have only a very small, modest price increase on a new platform.

And the car comes in at only 50lbs heavier than the Z3.

Wow. That car, is going to kick some serious ass.

If I wanted to get a Roadster, this is what I would be looking at. There are a couple of things that I don't like styling wise, but otherwise it seems to be a very strong performing car.

I'm all over a 2004 2.5i Z4. Hopefully it will have valvetronic.
It won't. There has still yet to be any announcement of valvetronic in the L6s.

In fact, the engines are identical to the last Z3 engines.

That, and the fact the 3.0 managed to shave what, .3 seconds off 0-60 time is pretty darn impressive. Maybe the re-designed suspension allows for better power to the ground but I highly doubt suspension work will give you .3 seconds off.

am reserving judgement....

...until it's roadtested, especially against the boxster on a roadcourse with laptimes.

i hope it's more attractive in person than it is from pictures.

anyway, would love to buy a z4 coupe if they build one. that would be the ultimate little zippy car.
