The e60 forum has one, probably because there is nothing good to talk about with their cars. ROFL. Post what you want!

Man oh man. Last October I had an f350 stolen in Miami, it was a work truck so I had to buy a new one right away to keep business going smoothly. I found out the hard way that my insurance company (Auto Owners) outsources total loss claims to another company and they were completely unresponsive and would not negotiate at all, they just play the wait game and see how long you hold out if you want to get more than what they are willing to pay. I STILL have not received money for my loss.

Insurance companies suck.

Wow, that's pathetic. Insurance companies are just awful. I really don't get the people who "love" their insurance.
Yeah at that point I'm lawyering up. I'd be fuming after this long.

My old Chevy Venture went to our oldest daughter a couple years ago but last night I helped her out by picking it up from the shop and dropping it off at her house.

On another note I've been driving my dad's Silverado because we have 2 broken vehicles (garage is full and it is winter) so kids have my car.

The minivan is the extended length with a wimpy 3.4L V6 but it has everything on it except leather seats. The truck has a nice 5.3L V8 but not a lot of options. So... One has a DIC but no balls and the other has balls but no DIC.

I should probably check the Chevy forum to see how hard it would be to install a DIC in the truck. The console is there but I don't know about the wiring.
Don't see how it couldn't be done? I'm sure someone has tried it.

Sweet, Powerflex subframe inserts came in today.

Not everyday you see two E30 coupes near each other. Black one looks nice. The one past the stop sign though needs some body work and a respray.

Nice shot N. I haven’t seen a e30 in the wild in a loooong time, same with e28. It’s rare that I see another e39 and forget about the e34. I’m in SC and travel around GA, NC, TN, AL, MS, LA, KY, FL.

If I go to the C&C up in Greenville I will see two or three e30’s with mine included, maybe a 39 but never 34 or 28, mostly modded 46’s and up.
Around here there is only a small handful of E34s. My brother, one guy not far from here with one that's damn near identical, and probably 2-3 more that I see on rare occasion. E39s are slightly more common, with one in my neighborhood (also a touring, actually).

That black E30 is gorgeous. I'd love mine to look like that.
Weirdly I've actually been seeing quite a few E30's lately. Saw a red coupe a couple of days ago. Even seeing some E34's too. Still see plenty of E46's and E39's including a Dinan last week. First time I ever saw an E39 Dinan in person. Bad pic as well, but it looked good.

Same color as my 03 540i Mtech .

My good friend's wife has a black E30 coupe . There arent many around where i live .
I have seen 2 E39's besides mine , both are silver , and non are a 540 .
Wanted to share the first proper pics of my E39. Bought in late November but couldn't drive and enjoy it much because of a few technical things that needed sorting. Now, almost 3.5 months later I finally got the time to detail it. Starting with just a proper wash and flushing of all the cracks, seams and wheel arches. Took over 2 hours but she's ready to go!

One downside of cleaning up this well is every imperfection is now screaming at me. Oh well! As soon as it's technically perfect with all the preventative maintenance I have in mind done, I'll consider getting the entire car resprayed. With ~155,000 km the interior is basically perfect. Driver's seat looks great and the rest of the seats might as well be new. Hoping to one day have the exterior in such a shape.

My shop has a floor! Going to buy dirt (ridiculous that I have to) and backfill the exterior of the foundation tomorrow.

Lord knows when I will get the framing package and the truss’s. When it’s “dry” I will epoxy the floor and do the wiring/plumbing. Can’t wait, all sorts of ideas swimming in my head.

Anyone use a radar detector? Got any advice on what’s out there these days?

If I start a discussion thread on it will a mod take it down?

Long as it's in off topic or car talk section (honestly don't even know what there is on here lol) it's probably fine.
Good lord, building up a giant (and very expensive) pile of parts for the subframe and driveline overhaul. And there's still more I'm waiting on!

Did get the new windshield in recently with seals. Not installed yet. Will try to get it done sometime next week. Oh and as for insurance. My monthly payment got jacked up $30 for no reason whatsoever. Even more messed up, my sister is paying more for her 2002 Accent. Not just us either, lot of people regardless of carrier saw their rates go up. God I hate those companies!

Side note on glass. While the rear defrost worked on the new back glass. It was still PAINFULLY slow. Wiring was fine, fuse good. Out of curiosity, popped in new relay and it finally works the way it should.

And dude, been seeing more and more classic bimmers lately. Saw a beige E34 touring other day then a green sedan. And while out a few hours ago, spotted a gorgeous orange 2002. Been loving it seeing the classics.

Yeah, a laser jammer is kinda mandatory these days if you really want to avoid trouble.
