Besides starting problems, I noticed that the time display just shows '-- --'
I replaced the main battery and reset the time. The next morning I went to start the car, and the time display was blank again! Everything else works fine. Any ideas?? :dunno:
BMW gremlins?? :dunno: Off and on I would get some strange intermittent occurances with the MID as well but they usually didn't last very long.
I don't know the X5 very well (assuming that is the BMW you are referring to?) but do you have a "BC" button on one of the stalks on the left side of the steering wheel? That is the button that allows you to scroll through the various items you can put in the MID (like time, range, distance, mpgs, etc.). Does pushing that do anything or is it just the fact that your clock refuses to hold a time irrespective of everything else?
