Not here in the US as far as I know. I like them anyway so I would have included them, plus the future use for carriers etc. is a plus for me.

Roof rails

I would have a couple of questions before I got them:

1. Are they included, or am I paying for those?
2. Can I still add a roof rack for something useful, like a bike, skis, carrier?
3. Does it add any outside wind noise to the car?

I like the look. With a wagon, anything that screams utility works for me. It should have AWD, tall all-season radials and tons of junk in the back, it should be dirty with a rack of some sort on the top (bikes, skis, snowboards) that says I've got better things to do than wait for my Zaino to dry or discuss Dinan warranty items online at 7am. A fit, attractive female companion in the passenger seat is the ideal accessory. Yeah, that's a sexy wagon.

1)included
2)yes but must buy attachments
3)none that I'd say is noticeable

I have the AWD and 17", but junk in the back and dirt are only temporary for me. I use it but then clean it:D

If you're going to get a touring, they why wouldn't you get the roof rails?
BMW making the real profit just by selling stuff like this :) Believe it or not the total cost of options on my car is about $11K :yikes:

Oh Yes!

What would I do without them?

Here's a pic of mine with the rails, crossbars and snowboard rack.
It's packed every weekend with my honey in the front, kids in the back and some junk in the rear.

I usually end up washing it on Sundays after two days of spirited driving :D

Yes, they are optional here in Finland. They cost an extra $450 to have them added.

I don't have them on my 320d, in fact, I didn't even think about ordering them. After reading some of the replies here and now thinking about it, I am warming to them!

Anyway, thanks for the comments!
