What type of transmission fluid should be used for a 745i 2004? can castrol multi for foreign vehicles be used?

castrol multi for foreign also can be used its all a matter of preference! its cheaper than zf! i just used zf on my car because i purchased in a kit

Redline D4 is what I use. Castrol is NOT synthetic, but it is an approved fluid. Redline D4 is synthetic and a high quality transmission fluid that exceeds BMW spec. It's only a few dollars pricier than the the Castrol.
