Does the computer monitor the transmission fluid level on CCC-based Pre-LCI e70s or is there a manual way to check transmission fluid level? I would appreciate knowing how and under what conditions I should check transmission fluid level.

No need to monitor the trans fluid because it is a lifetime oil. Hahah I believe that in order to measure the level of the trans fluid, it has to be hooked up to the computers at BMW. I believe it takes quite some time to have the computer return the value. This is what I was told how it happened on my 550 and would assume that it is the same on the X5.
