This morning I was backing out to go to work and when I went from reverse to drive and car went into transmission failsafe and went into park and now I can't go into gear at all had to engage the emergency gear release to move it out street. Obd code was p0966 transmission pressure control solenoid b low circuit. How much am I looking at on repair with parts and labor thanks

Now code p1515 has come on as well along with traction control light I had battery charged and tested they said battery is good car voltage meter stays around 13.8 even with no action or radio any help will be greatly appreciated

Update

I ended up getting the transmission solenoid kit from fcp euro and had it changed out all solenoids now problem is fixed car now runs and shifts smooth

Transmission Won't Engage

2006 750i with 160k+ won't go into gear...searched for commonality and first response is the solenoid. Anyone have success with replacing the solenoids?

Yeah I just had mines changed this past Monday I was getting a low circuit code for my one of my solenoid so I bought the solenoid kit and had them all changed out now problem fixed. Does your car go into transmission failsafe mode?

It won't stay in gear...the dash lights stayed on as a nuisance according to what I've learned from this site of 750 owners...I tried discon the battery to reset...no go...now I've been told a new trans, since no one will sell just the TCU module...new trans only...$3k plus

Did you mean the TCM? Not TCU? Have you seen this?

Thanks for comming back to share results, would you mind mentioning how much did you Ended up spending on parts and labor?

I spent $250 on tranny fluid and tranny pan the solenoid kit was $550 from fcp euro an $300 on labor from indie shop it a 3.5 hour to 4hr job
