Turbine speed sensor HELP!!!

Hello,

I’ve searched all around for this topic and couldn’t find anything, so my apologies if it’s already been discussed. I’m having a transmission issue with my 2005 E60 that I’m hoping to get some feedback on. Long story short, the car is going into limp mode often. I took it to a mechanic and got it hooked up to the computer and it gave me a 4EE8 code which I found is the Turbine Speed Sensor. The problem I’m having is that I can’t find this part anywhere online. Does anyone know where this part can be found and where it is actually located in the tranny? Thanks.

Both the turbine speed sensor and the transmission output speed sensor are built into the mechatronic module.
the turbine speed sensor is the guy in the middle that looks like a short pipe tilting 45 degree to the left

And, they are on the top of the mechatronics, so you have to drop the mechatronics (aka valve body) to get at them. If you do this, be sure and replace the rubber seals and mechatronics sleeve while you are there.
Thanks for the info. Does anyone know where I can find (purchase) this part?
Oh hey. I find this and i have same problem. Do you solve it by replacing this? Thanks for answer
