Turbo issue
I took my 335i in to the dealer last week due to shaking when Turbo's where kicked in. They informed me that my wastegates are bad and need replacement. The cost is over $6000 because I am out of the 82,000 mile warranty. I picked up my car 1 hour ago and paid the cash. On my way home, decided to try out my new turbos and my vehicle is doing the exact same thing. Shaking badly and engine light came on (didn't even make it home from the shop) I am thinking about putting a stop payment on my $6000 until the problem is fixed. Any suggestions?

That's why it's always good to use American Express. They really go to bat for you when needed.
Paid by check, not cash..... but the cash is in my account in which they will be withdrawing very soon 
Call your bank and have them put a hold on the funds. You will probably have to fax a verification letter including describing the situation.

Real wrong btw - they should guarantee their work with at least a 30 day warranty - assume you called them immediately.

maybe something else damaged when this issue was fixed. I am sure they will do the right thing here.

Sorry about your extraordinary expense .... stop payment is not a good action .... would spook the dealer and give them the right to have your car seized for the work they did.

Can't tell you how many times I've had repair work done on my cars (all models) over my life time to only pick it up and find out that the problem isn***8217;t fixed on my way home. Frustrating, you would think they would test drive it thoroughly to see if the problem is resolved.
I***8217;m guessing the dealer will do the right thing here and take care of you, at least they should give you a loaner until they figure out what***8217;s going on.

Sorry to hear. Yes you should have a warrenty. But what do you mean when the turbos kick in? They are always on. They spin due to the exhasut gas.
I could be a spark plug or coil that is failing. Under boost it takes more current for the spark to jump the gap on the plug so the car could run fine under low load and miss when you push it.
Take it back and see what they can do. I would not not stop payment but they should cut the cost if they changed the wrong parts.

True, but with no boost. I assume he means when the wastegate closes to increase boost. Bad wastegate behavior can cause damaging things such as compressor stalls to happen.
