I was washing the car yesterday and discovered that the passenger side door hinge...2 nuts were loose
It appears that the nuts were never tighten at all from the production...if I tighten them now...the paint on the nuts will show signs of scarring...

Tin foil might work to take up any slop in the six point socket you use. That's is what I use on my chromed oil filter lid cover bolt. Torque is 21 Nm for the door nuts based on E36 specs. Nothing listed that I could find specifically for the Z3.
