Update on sticky pedal problem!
From my message to the folks on the BMW Sticky Pedal Yahoo! group:
Just talked with Bill and the situation is looking pretty good. He told me that an engineer from BMWAG explained to him that BMW would have an inventory of new pedal assemblies sometime in May. He also said that they would be calling all the BMW centers to let them know of the new part (I'm assuming this would be more like a service bulletin or optional recall).
Bill said he would be calling us again once the pedals were available to our local dealerships. I'd say this is a pretty good deal! They've made pretty good on their timeline thus far.
