I recently set my valves. When torquing down the valve cover, one of the studs started coming out of the head. Anybody else had this problem before? I know the solution is to have it helio-coiled but I don't want to bother until the next time I set the valves. Also, what is the best way to check to see if there are no vacuum leaks because of it? My car idles a little uneven after it warms up (after timing belt replacement, valve setting). What should I squirt in the area of the stud while the car is running?

The mechanic (quite reputable) who I took it to for analysis was worried about the 191 electrical connector was corroded. This connector is part of the injector control system.
