So..... I have a 05 530i with the M54 engine. I have in the past rebuilt both vanos' on my M54 powered 05 X5 and and a now sold 03 330xi. The question I have is at 56,000 miles on my 530 should I consider rebuilding its vanos as well? I noticed a little sluggishness in the engine lately and it dawned on me that the vanos could be the issue. Whenever I buy a used car I routinely replace the plugs, filters, oils etc etc to establish a baseline of preventative maintenance. I have no qualms about doing the job I am more or less wondering if BMW cured the seal and rattle problem within the vanos when it came to the M54 engine in the E60. There are several differences within the underhood design of components of the E60 compared to my E53 so even though they are both 2005 vehicles is the vanos exactly the same product as the vanos in the E53 and the E46. On Beisan's website they only show the double vanos kit for E46 and e39 vehicles.
Any thoughts on this?

I just did a realoem search and all three models have the same vanos part number so even though Beisan's website does not show the e60 as compatible with their kit I can only assume it is fine. Funny I did not even think of car model number when I previously did the job on the E53.
