(speaking with seats up of course, and limiting my comparison to that as when I travel I need the rear seat space for my dogs)
Converting from international specs on the F31, from liters to cu.ft., I got the F31 at ~17.5 cu.ft ...if that is indeed the case and F30 is 17cu.ft then why am I pining over the wagon?
Now, I'm not absolutely sure about the F30's trunk / cargo capacity. The manual says 16.9, and understandably most websites say 17 cu.ft., but a good many sites state the trunk / cargo capacity is 13 cu.ft. instead. Case in point, even the USAToday.com $46K Sport Sedan Challenge that the 328i won states 13 cu.ft. of storage. So can anyone confirm or deny either or both? F31 is indeed 17.5 cu.ft. and F30 is indeed just about 17 cu.ft. (which seem to be from the early release of the F30 specs) ? Or is it the 13 cu.ft. that is showing up everywhere these days?
That really does surprise the heck out of me if this is true. And I'm sure edging closer to thinking maybe the good'ole F30 sedan is the smartest choice for me vs either the F31 or X1 given how much lighter any F30 is regardless of engine, trans or drivetrain.
