I bought the darn thing, but this cold wheather were having down here is preventing me from using it!

I've found a new use for mine, squeegeeing down the shower and glass after use. Had a regular one with black rubber and it was leaving marks on the limestone. The California Blade is perfect.
Keep it clean with alcohol prior to use on a car finish, and make sure that your car is freshly washed. I love mine!
I used the CWB for the first time, and wondered--should it be making such loud squeaks as it goes over the surface of the car, or does this mean I was doing something wrong? It worked great and the car looked great afterwards, but the sound made me think I might have had too much friction going or something.

Any thoughts?

Seems the drier the car the noisier the blade.

Also, the better waxed the surface, the louder. Its a surgical silicon blade rubbing against wax...so that may be the reason for the sound.
I hear you bro but count your blessings. I just got mine and it looks like I'll have to wait another few weeks before its warm enough up here to use.
Do any of the auto parts stores carry them? I just looked at Kragen and they didn't have it.

Not sure Sac, didn't see them at Pep boys in this neck of the woods, ordered mine (as I do about 90% of my car care products) off the web.
Thanks, guess it's time to start surfing......
Its also available at Costco, but thats only if you're a Costco member. Its about $20 for two blades.

You are lucky, the Costco here stopped carrying it and when I saw it at Walmart I grabbed it although I would in retrospect ordered on the web.
Only the local Target store seems to carry California Water Blades around here. I've looked in Walmart, Pep Boys, and Auto Zone, but no water blades to be found there.
Local KMart has it.

Btw, anyone tried the new formula EagleOne A2Z wheel cleaner??(in an orange bottle). Alkaline based instead of acidic.
I love my water blade. That in combo with the P21s drying towel is hard to beat! :thumb:
I got my blade from wal-mart. I love the thing. It is squeaky though.

I have a bottle of eagle A2Z in the orange bottle. I used it on my wheels. It was a spray-on, wait 30 seconds, rinse off, and wipe down with cotton cloth or MF. it removed a good amount of brake dust easily. I don't think it messed with my wheels finish or did anything bad to it.
