I'm getting ready to pick up my refreshed heads and I still need to order all my gaskets and timing chain guides parts. Does anyone have a preference on what brand to use? I have used Vitor Reinz in the passed and have had good luck. I have built a project list on pelican parts and I'm up to $700 plus in parts. Not sure if anyone has a better suggestion for me? If you are wondering I'm not planning on replacing the chains. The guides weren't bad and the engine was quiet on start up, how ever since I'm doing the heads I thought I should do the guides. Plus the oil separation valve was bad so it's good thing I'm doing it all.

Haven't done either job but from reading...I was going to say Victor Reinz. I've seen kits with the chains, totally pointless as I've never heard about any problems with them, it is always just the guides breaking up.

I have 25k on my rebuild with Reinz gaskets, new head bolts of course, no issues.
Guides, OSV, chains were fine. Also rebuilt the Vanos with Beisan seals.
Valley pan reseal, vacuum hoses, and heater hoses while you're in there.
