I currently own a 2016 BMW 320i with 18" OEM rims - style 397. I've contacted multiple BMW dealerships as well as BWM Canada, and they couldn't figure out how much they weigh...

I have one rim with a lot of curb rash, so its the choice of buying one OEM BMW rim (EXPENSIVE!) or swap all four with something lighter (aftermarket). I just want to consider how much torque i will gain and how much fuel i will save.

Any one know how much they weigh??? :dunno:

From http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/:

Styling 397 Doppelspeiche (double spoke)
8x18 (uses 225/45R18 tires) offset ET 34, weight 12.00 kg

From http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/F30N/Europe/320i-N20/2016/browse/wheels/bmw_la_wheel_double_spoke_397_18/:

Part # 36 11 6 796 247 - 8JX18 ET:34, 26.7 lb

The electronic parts catalog bmwfans.info shows the weight of all parts.

You'll not see a big change with torque or MPG - concentrate on buying a high-quality wheel. While there are plenty of vendors selling used or refurbished original BMW alloys, the Ferric Grey finish might be difficult to duplicate. Wheel Collision Center in PA (USA) has them for $325 (Price with your old one: $290) - http://www.wheelcollision.com/store/H71540-71540XXAR-320I-328I-335I-340I-ACTIVEHYBRID3.htm

Good luck!

C'mon...torque gain has nothing to do with it. It's a theoretical difference. You are just trying to justify not spending the money for an appropriate set of wheels.
