What do you guys think of the JL Audio Stealth Boxes?

What do you think of the JL Audio Stealth Boxes? How do they compare to the HK subs? How si the bass level. Do they take up a noticable amount of trunk room? Is the installation so easy that i can do it? I am really interested in buying these because they are bolt on. From an earlier posting, I understand that the HK rattle problem disolves because the air is not moving in the rear deck. Is this correct? Any pros and cons would be appreciated.

Stealth boxes are pretty good. Take up bascially no space. Theyre comparable to JL w1 series not toooo much bass. You'll need an amp to push'em though, I would suggest a JL 250/1 or something in that power rage. The boxes normally run $399. I have new ones in the box going for $320. if interested let me know...

What about the HK rattle? Which do you think sounds better, HK sub or the JL's?

stupid question

Will the instense bass vibrations coming from a speaker box in the trunk damage any of the electronics that are located in the rear? Like the trunk opener.

just 2? normally you run 3 D-6's. When you do 2 you dont get the right ohm load. So you dont get the right preformance out of your subs. Maybe if you put huge amps on them....

JL's without a doubt! The rattle in the back is gone, in my car I get rattle in my front speakers!

Hey where did you install your amp? Im glad that the HK rattle is gone, but why do you have a rattle in the front speakers?

I had my custom installer at my shop make an amp rack against the folding seats. I dont know why I get the rattle...I would imagine just the quality...at mid volume the front speakers rattle like theres not enough power going to them...distortion.

Here's a pic of the stealthboxes

Got this from e46fanatics. I'm planning on installing my stealthboxes sometime in the next week or two, so I'll let you know how they sound compared to my current setup, which is 2 10" W0's.

They should sound little bit better...The subs in the stealth boxes are equal to the W1 W2, cant remember which one. But the stealths are also 8 inch subs...Depending on your box for the W0's you should have a better sound from the stealth.
