Guys,

After 7 years in my 2000 euro delivery 528, I am just getting around to using an OBD II reader. The fault code on the reader says something about "Manufacturer control ignition misfire", but nothing any more specific other than the P1397 code. Do I need to buy a Bentley Manual to figure what specifically I need to do to repair the damages brought on by a P1397 code. Or is there a website that list codes and repairs needed? The manual/CD that came with the OBD II isn't much help.

Thanks for the insight.

As Emily Latella put it so well on SNL: "Never Mind". While searching on the DIY section I found out that P1397 is the pesky cam sensor. This is my first post to the bimmerfest board. I usually hang out at over at early911sregistry.org and it took me a while to find the technical section.

However, I could still use a source to decode any /all of the codes.

Thanks again,
