If you read this Al (duh you will eventually), I got some numbers back and they're willing to go 45% off if we preorder 10,000 gallons. I gave them a tentative yes:thumb:
I may have to let Otto's wash my car on Friday.

I may actually go the bottled water route if it comes down to it.

I'd say I'd go visit my parents in NJ, but they wouldn't approve of me doing crazy things like wash the car in the winter. They'd probably give me $5 and tell me to go take it someplace. :thumbdwn:

I hate to tell you this alee but here in Jersey we are in the same pre-drought situation as you
My parents are in Lawrenceville... they are only under drought watch as of last weekend. Doesn't matter much anyway... they're not afraid to beat me if I come over just to wash my car. :D

I think someone on Autopia has an reverse osmosis system installed and he store the filtered water in huge water tanks of some sort in his garage and use that for the final rinse after the wash to prevent water spots. Neat stuff.
... and people thought I was bad. :tsk: :tsk:

Of course, now you have me looking for one too. :D

Sounds like everyone likes to beat up on Al:confused:
You can rent me on a hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis for your own personal punching bag. :D

About saving water; there has been talks about this product at Autopia:

The idea sounds scary but it seems quite popular with mobile detailers.

Just FYI.
That's some wacky stuff. I guess it may work, but it sounds unusual. :D

For you Al, you can drive down to my sister's shop and use their water and equipment...you could probably teach them a lot too!! (water restrictions don't apply to their business)
:thumb:
By the time I drove back, I'd be back where I started. :D

My car can actually go for a while without a wash... been doing a regular quick detail at the end of every day. As long as it doesn't rain, I'm safe.

If it starts to rain, I may be taking SEPTA until the restriction is lifted. I know it's a little psycho... or... well, a lot psycho.

You wouldn't like it up here in Mass...F'n cold and lots of salt on the roads...I thought PA was bad with the salt...glad it's a rental car!!
I almost moved to Boston 3 years ago... the less than optimal weather stopped me. Kinda reminded me of living in Ithaca... for 3 months out of the year, it was the best place to be, and the rest was grey, cold and dead.

I really like the town of Boston though...great city to walk around...when it's not too cold.
Are you downtown or in the burbs?
Mike 325xi said:

This time I am in the burbs...I'm at the Wyndham Plaza in Andover.
That'll be me scratching at your window at 3:00am. I'd be bugging vexed, but he has a restraining order against me. :D
