I do see a lot of E36's running these D-Force LTW5 wheels, which is an excellent set of lightweight 17" wheels (or other sizes if needed). They're highly recommended to have your E36 loose a little weight as they're extremely lightweight. One 17x8" wheel weighs 15.5LBS, which is astounding if you ask me, so you might want to check these out:
