I'm looking for the Wheel Style Guide, that was posted once before. I tried Search but the Link in "Useful links - post 'em here" isn't working. Anyone have a working link? I'm trying to find info on Style 54 wheels. If no link maybe someone could post a pic and the size? Thanks

They are 7Jx16" and the reccommended tyres are 205/55R16

Just to make sure I'm assuming correctly. These will fit without any problems on my '02 325ci with SP right? As mentioned I'm looking at running the 205/55/16 for winter.

This goes back to another thread where, it seemed pretty clear that the majority liked 205/55/16 over 225/50/16 for winter wheels. That's why I was hoping the 16x7 would work.

Are style 43's any better for 205/55/16 or are they the same as 54's?

Oh, no.

205/55 will fit fine. It is an OEM size, comes on many E46s. I didn't know we were talking about winter wheels. For summer, 225/50 would be better.

any 16x7 wheel will do fine with 205/55 16s. I had 205/55R16s from the factory, they were fine. I think the 43s look better, but they are the same size

There shouldn't be any problems. As far as I know the SP doesn't lower the car.

In Greece the standard tyres are:
195/65R15 for 316
205/55R16 for 318, 320, 325
225/45R17 for 330
Type 53 is the only alloy in 15".
Type 46 is the standard alloy in 16". I don't like it and it is not popular either. Most people opt for 45, 53 or 54.

My favorite is Type 42 for 225/50R16. It equipped the car I test drived. It was sill to put such a wide tyre on the 316 -it hampered the performace. I went for the standard and rare 15" (instead of the popular 16"), because I don't have to slow too much on the bumps that are all over my neighbourhood ;-) But once a compressor is available for the 4-cyl Valvetronic, I will install it and switch to Type 42.

As I have calculated all of the above give almost the same ride height. But I don't know anyone in Greece that uses winter tyres!

Pictures of my Compact

Do you have any pictures of your compact?

I don't have a picture that it does it justice :-(

I have taken pictures of it while I was on a journey, but then it is all dirty. I must take one just after I wash it, under sunny conditions. Eventually, I come around it and post it, because AFAIK it is not available in the US and it is in an unusual "Pistacchio Green" color.

Although I have the "Colouring System" CD-ROM handy, the available picture is not good as it looks more beige-brown than golden-green. But I have posted pictures from the CD-ROM.
The interior is:
