OK, I just put the 07 MDX up for sale and she sold to the first person who came over. Cool, now I can buy my X5!

Plan - purchase a 2011 35i or 50i definitely with Adaptive Drive
After thinking over things a few days and struggling with, "well maybe I should just get a 2010 X5 M", I decided to opt for the Xdrive50i as a compromise, but with Adaptive Drive for SURE!

So, I have three vehicles that I am comparing, all on the internet only at this point:

Vehicles 1 & 2 are similar in that they are 2011 Sport Package (not M Sport), XDRIVE50i Models, and both have ADAPTIVE DRIVE. Vehicle 3 is a 2011 XDRIVE50i M Sport with ADAPTIVE DRIVE

Vehicles #1 & 2 are both:
XDRIVE50i
Adaptive Drive
ZAP Sport Package
Cold Weather Package
Premium Package
Premium Sound Package
Rear Climate Package
Technology Package
Running Boards
Roof Rails
Comfort access keyless entry
Sports Leather Steering wheel
Leather Dashboard
Heated Steering wheel
Aluminum Footplate
Backup Camera
shadowline exterior trim
anthracite headliner

Both Car #1 & Car#2 are Deep Sea Blue

Now for the differences:

Car #1 has Oyster Nevada Interior vs Black for Car #2
Car#1 has 3,726 miles vs 18,456 for Car #2
Asking price is $58.9 for car #1 vs $54.0 for car #2

Car#1 has these advantages over Car #2:
Head-Up Display (cool)
Emergency Spare
Rear Seat Heating
High Beam Assist

However, Car#2 has these advantages over Car #1
Car #2 has the 20" Style 336 wheels - (these are growing on me and I love the beefy look)
Car#1 has the 19" Style 335 wheels (yawn - wd need to replace)
Car#2 has Comfort Seats whereas Car #1 has Sports Seats

OK, how does everyone see the pros and cons so far? My summary:

Car#1
lower miles
better color combo - deep sea blue on oyster better than deep sea blue on black
Head Up Display
19" mediocre wheels
Emergency spare would enable transition away from RFT

Car#2
20" Style 336 Wheels are way nicer
Comfort seats are nicer
$4,900 less money

OK, now for Car #3

It is also a 2011 Xdrive50i but it is an M Sport, and also has Adaptive Drive
Interior is Sand Beige
Mileage is the highest of the three at 25,688
Asking price is $54,951
However, Car #3 has a CPO warranty
Car #3 also has the Comfort Seats

So, in summary:

Car#1 Xdrive50i Sports Package Adaptive Drive Deep Sea Blue on Oyster with 19" wheels Sports Seats with Heads Up Display and 3,716 miles for $58.9k. Drive back would take 16 hours

Car#2 Xdrive50i Sports Package Adaptive Drive Deep Sea Blue on Black with 20" wheels and Comfort Seats with 18,456 miles for $54.0k. Drive back would take 20 hours

Car#3 CPO Xdrive50i M Sport Adaptive Drive Titanium Silver on Sand Beige with 20" wheels and Comfort Seats with 25,688 miles for $54.9k. Drive back would take 16 hours

All 3 have Clean CARFAX and are one owner cars. I would have to fly to pickup any of the three cars.

If I could just put the 20" wheels on Car#1, that is the one I believe I would do. I guess I could keep the 19's on car#1 for snow tires in the winter and pickup a set of used 20s and put non run flats on them.

Question, do M Sport Package Cars have any performance advantages over Sports Package cars?

I appreciate everyone's thoughts!

If they all have adaptive drive, then there should be no difference in the way they drive between the sport and m sport, it's whichever look you like better.

Car #1 should have the all season tire option if it's a sport with 19"s, if you're looking for that, the other 2 with 20"s will have summer tires, which can be added expense. They do make the the Mich Lattitudes that came standard on the 07 MDX in the 20" sizes, as well as the Conti DWS's if you want to swap for all seasons.

Do keep in mind that the CPO is the same as a Gold Plan BMW extended warranty- and you can buy that for either of the other two. $3500-4k ish...(?)

Comfort seats would be my priority even over miles in my opinion.

Jay
+1. I've had both sport and comfort seats, comfort seats hands down.

I vote for car #2. 336's are money. The 19's don't come with the fender flares, and 20's just look better. I have 19's for winter, but the 20's for summer. I do like oyster interior, but will never order it.. I like the "idea" of a nice contrasting leather, but would be OCD about cleaning it. I have bamboo in my M3 and would have liked oyster, but glad that I didn't.

2) It has Comfort seats (score!!!)
3) It has rear entertainment
