I am looking for something as discreet as possible. I don't want a brick attached to my sun-visor! I have heard good things about the valentine 1. Does anyone have it setup with the stealth-one? Does this setup work well?? Any other choices for an integrated system? Also do any of the detectors catch photo radar?

Saw an ad for radar detector busters in the back of a magazine. Apparently these intercept the radar device??! Illegal in many States though. :dunno:

This has been discussed here ad nauseous.

You may want to use the search function?

IMO, V1/Stealth One combo is the way to go. Escort makes a very good detector too, but the Stealth One integration plus features like speed sensitive auto mute are awesome.

All should be able to detect photo radar. The only problem is the radar is usually a weak signal and it is pointed away from you. Meaning it is aimed at the back of your car when you pass. Hard to detect, so be careful if that is a threat. You can read more about it at www.valentineone.com

V1.

I just bought a second one. Believe it or not, my conservative wife took mine because it has protected her so well. I guess she can't live without the arrows!

Expensive at first; but after a few months you'll realize it was worth every penny.

X50 is the way to go...
I have had both the v1 and x50 and without a doubt the x50 comes on top.

I have my x50 hardwired into my x5 and it looks very clean.
As far as customizing, the x50 has so many modes and different settings you will crap your pants. I also love expert mode which allows you to see up to i think 10 or so signals at once.

1 vote for the x50

But really both are top of the line and whatever one you get you WILL be happy with their performance.

I've had a V1 now for about 2 years, and I am extremely satisfied. Let me tell you, that thing paid for itself within WEEKS of my buying it. It has saved me literally thousands of dollars in tickets. I cannot speak of the other detectors, but I can swear by my V1. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
