At the other end of Bangles Bookends is the 1/2 series. It's going up against some pretty tough competition in the low priced hatch/sedan category with the Civic, Jetta/Golf etc. I expect it to fare pretty well though.

Why didn't you post a pic of the Golf GTI to represent the Golf/Jetta? The cabrio is a chick car.

I voted the Golf as, of the vehicles listed, it has the best combiantion of performance and practicality. The Mini would be a blast, but there's just not enough room there.

Rounding the others out... The Civic is just too bland, IMO, and is taking steps backward in terms of suspension deisng. And the 1-series is just too damn ugly. It's freakish. And from this posting window I can't see what else was listed, but they were obviously not cars that resonate with me enough for me to remember them from one minute to the next.

I posted the chick car (I completely agree by the way), because it was a closer styling match to the CS-1. Perhaps that was a poor decision on my part, but eveyone knows what a golf/jetta looks like, and the poll option was all inclusive

Which would I pick? Already did, the MB C compact. :D

I think my 325i is much more fun, but my C compact just chews up the miles with a comfortable and confident ride.
