Can I remember that? I remember way back when to your first days posting on the 'org and when everyone thought you were a fake. I also remember when Rick Houston (I think I got it right) posted and then got into some trouble, then got into his accident in a Z3 and decided to give up car sales...

Boy, I have been around WAY too long :D

Remember those old flamers too Doc?

What were those guys' names?

Jacamo? Wallace?? Poor Alan had to have quick fingers to delete all of that...

I remember all of our IM dialogues too, Doc.

Remember when we had (2) DrBimmers?

How 'bout the infamous '150 club'?? Sheesh!#!#!#!#
Everytime that I have a REALLY BAD day I revisit that thread. After I re-read it, I can't help but to feel better... That thread could've been the prototypical post in "The Flame", but unfortunately, it wasn't... Even though it had nothing to do with me personally, I was extremely embarassed. I can only laugh at it now...

BTW, I am really glad to see that you are still around Doc! Promise me that if you ever visit CA, you'll drop by for a chat...
Forget Portugal ~ you can visit Santa Barbara!

Well, I do remember Jacamo... he used to harass me weekly when I had the white 323i ("der stupid american that drive de devil car")

And when I was "The Original DrBimmer", and we had DrBimmer #2

I remember all the good ol' times...

I don't know if I am ever going to make it out your way, but if I do you will be the first person I go see...

If I remember correctly, I first "found" bimmer.org back in 1998. Yes, thats correct. 1998. I have come across alot of people that have come and gone. Its always great to talk to someone that is an "oldie" like me.

I remember those days. I found the .org back in 1997. I started off at the Z3 board and moved over to the E46 back in 1999.

There must not have been very many 5ers at the first Bimmerfest. This is my fave question:

"Would appreciate event schedule.
Are 5 series welcome?"

hahah. Anyhow.. how many 5ers this year? 50?
45 E39s to be exact Mark...

:D

Btw, did you see my request to update the caravan info up above?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Jon.. let me grab Dave (DDD) from another board. He knows the route (precisely) since he did it last year. Let me see if i can get him to post the information you are looking for.

My only regret is wasting all that money on a 528i:bawling:

Oh yeah but then I'd never have met all you wonderful people.:p
Frenchie! How are ya! LTNS. I used to hang around on another board as did you. I am one of a few that left after you let the board know about one of it's "members" calling a coworker's boss.

I like it here much better.

Hey Propellerhead...

This place does seem to have nicer people. Although the kids over there were behaving last I checked. Mr. CAI has to, if he wants to run a business!

I really love my Boxster (S).... the 528i was a great car, the E39s are incredible cars... but really just too big for me. The Boxster people are very nice and down to earth. We've got a great "club" in SoCal. I've taken the car to the track a few times and enjoyed it. What a machine. I love driving it over the canyon roads to Malibu. I made the right choice. No more "wandering eye syndrome" and visiting dealers!

My best to you, your cars and your family!
