Wierd plastic found in Oilfilterhouse???
So i devises ti change gaskets in the Oilfilterhouse ok my 318i…
At the spring that is supposed to close I saw that there were some kind of plastic things stuck I then decided to take out the plastic things so that the spring would close correctly after this I looked into the tube where the oil is it being cooled by water in this to the crystals/plastic had bonded so much that there were no circulation which means that no oil would get through to the other side and be cooled😰 My question is what could this plastic/crystals be it doesn’t seem to be from the engine components since the filter with a captured it and it would not have been able to bond that tightly. The crystals/plastic seems very brittle
